In Home Computer Training A Necessity For Network Security Workers

With job security shaky at best, there is one thing IT workers can do to help keep their jobs, and that is in home computer training. Network Security Administrators are still in demand in the job market, but employers are looking for certified workers that will provide satisfactory work. Many companies that employ security workers rely on EC-Council’s security courses.

The first course in EC-Council’s security lineup is the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course. It is a very popular course that many companies look for when hiring an IT employee. CEH certification prepares a person for a career in network security. CEH certificate holders are trained to analyze risks to networks from a multitude of sources. Technique is learned by mimicking common hacker methods.


Another popular EC-Council course is the CHFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator) course. This course is intended for people looking to get into work for computer forensics investigations. Oftentimes, police officers and other employees for fighting computer crime will take this course. Forensics investigation is a large market, and one may find a better chance for employment in that

market. CHFI certified employees can help find evidence and build a case that will be presented in court cases.

Finally, the LPT and ECSA courses are high level courses offered by EC-Council. LPT (Licensed Penetration Tester) and ECSA (EC-Council Certified Security Analyst) are usually offered in tandem. Overall, the LPT and ECSA certificates are the most rewarding EC-Council certifications salary-wise for security professionals. Licensed Penetration Testers are able to safely and securely penetrate a network in order to find weaknesses and other security issues. Security Analysts can analyze the outcomes from hacking techniques learned in previous classes. Having both certificates proves to employers that a worker is fully trained and dedicated to IT Security work.

Network Security workers must have certification in order to maintain a job in most places of employment. Without proper certification, there is no guarantee that a person is fully trained for a set of tasks, even if the person has held a similar job for a number of years. So certification, specifically EC-Council certification, can lead to better employment opportunities and job security.
